Join Next Level Goaltending for three days of elite goalie training at Ames Arena in Lakeville, Minnesota. This camp is open to goalies of all ages and skill levels, with instruction tailored to maximize development at every stage of a goalie’s journey.

The Lakeville MN Goalie Camp combines high level on ice instruction, off ice athletic development, hockey IQ training, and video based learning to help goalies improve every aspect of their game. Our coaching staff focuses on the skills and habits used by today’s top goaltenders while creating an environment that challenges each athlete individually.

Whether you’re preparing for youth hockey, high school hockey, junior hockey, or beyond, this camp provides the technical foundation and game understanding needed to perform with confidence.

What the Camp Includes

Elite On Ice Training

Goalies will receive more than seven hours of on ice instruction covering:

  • Skating and edge control
  • Positioning and angle play
  • Rebound control
  • Puck tracking
  • Post integration
  • Save selection
  • Game situation training
  • Competitive drills and small area games

Dryland Development

Over two hours of off ice training focused on:

  • Athletic movement
  • Mobility and flexibility
  • Hand eye coordination
  • Explosive power
  • Injury prevention
  • Goalie specific movement patterns

Hockey IQ and Classroom Sessions

Goalies will spend time away from the ice learning how to:

  • Read offensive attacks
  • Recognize developing scoring chances
  • Improve decision making
  • Analyze game situations
  • Build confidence and mental preparation habits

Elite Coaching Staff

Brandon Wildung

Next Level Goaltending founder Brandon Wildung serves as the Associate Head Coach of the Sioux Falls Stampede in the USHL and previously coached at the NCAA Division I level. Brandon has worked with goaltenders at every stage of development and is known for helping athletes improve their technical game while developing a deeper understanding of how to read and react to today’s faster game.

Zane McIntyre

Zane McIntyre brings professional playing experience to the ice after a standout collegiate career at the University of North Dakota and time in the NHL with the Boston Bruins organization. His experience competing at the highest levels of hockey allows him to provide valuable insight into preparation, consistency, and performance under pressure.

Hank Johnson

Hank Johnson currently coaches in the USHL with the Fargo Force and has extensive experience developing elite goaltenders. His focus on detail, game awareness, and modern goalie concepts helps athletes build habits that translate directly into game situations.

Chris Jackson

Chris Jackson has competed at the junior and NCAA levels throughout his career, including time with the Boston Junior Rangers, Twin City Thunder, Suffolk University, and Albertus Magnus College. His experience navigating multiple levels of hockey provides goalies with practical insight into development, advancement, and the daily habits required to succeed as a goaltender.

Additional Guest Coaches

Additional high level coaches and instructors may be added throughout the camp weekend to provide specialized instruction and increased coach to goalie interaction.

Small Group Instruction

The Lakeville camp maintains a maximum 3:1 goalie to coach ratio, ensuring every participant receives individual attention, personalized feedback, and direct interaction with the coaching staff.
