The Eddie Lack era in Calgary is over, at least for now.

Just this summer, Lack was dealt by the Hurricanes to the Flames for D-man Ryan Murphy and a 2019 Draft pick (the trade also included a pick to the Flames from the Hurricanes).

As of now, Lack is headed to New Jersey. The trade sends defenseman Dalton Prout to the Flames and Lack to New Jersey’s AHL affiliate, the Binghampton Devils. The opening cleaned up a spot in Calgary’s farm system, making room for Flames prospect Tyler Parsons.

For fans of the position, with former Devil Scott Wedgewood dealt to the Arizona Coyotes earlier this year, we hope this means a chance for the fan favorite Lack to settle in between the pipes.

On top of that, we can only imagine what Brian’s will do for his next custom Brian’s setup (update, see photo below). For now, it appears Lack has pad wrapped his Flames gear (see before and after photos below).

Eddie Lack’s New Gear has arrived!

And. It. Is. Awesome. Lack stays in the Brian’s OPTIK line, this time going for a more subtle look with the “Devils” logo mark built in to the pads. This is unconfirmed, but the mask he is wearing features a mask wrap from SkinFX.
