What To Work On In This Drill:

In this warmup skating drill, the goalie focuses on opening their body into an extended T Push, stopping quickly and remaining compact on the stop. The drill is designed to be done at a slow pace and multiple variations can be added.

The drill can be done skating forwards, as well as skating backwards. Typically, we will have goalies run through a forward and backward sequence 1-2x.
A great variation is adding a butterfly at the stopping position once the goalie has gone through the pattern 1 to 2 times.
