There are two important keys to this drill and both involve foot positioning on the post. When tracking pucks behind the net, goalies should ensure they’re getting proper foot position on the post when the scenario turns into a wrap around. In this case, we pass the puck out to make the first save. Second, when the goalie recovers back to their post, they should get proper foot positioning a second time before starting part two to the drill.
